The Educational Goal of Tokuyama College of Technology

To educate the students to be future engineers with a world-class competitive edge, practical skills, and competence in research and development

(A) In order to educate our students to be future engineers with a world-class competitive edge, we get them
(A1) to acquire basic knowledge to apply to interdisciplinary fields, and
(A2) to deepen their global understanding, cultivate their ethics for engineers, and improve their communicative ability.

(B) In order to educate our students to be future engineers with practical skills, we get them
(B1) to be able to utilize information technology and improve their presentation ability through practice and internship programs, and
(B2) to be independent.

(C) In order to educate our students to be future engineers with competence in research and development, we get them
(C1) to improve the ability to combine and organize their knowledge of various fields, and
(C2) to be able to analyze, address and solve problems and polish their sensibility and creativity.

Tokuyama College of Technology Aims to Train the Students As:

Engineers who have a good command of information technology and good grounding in designing and developing anything by utilizing their strong compound technologies

The Students in Each Five-year Associate Bachelor’s Degree Course and Two-year Advanced Course Can Make Full Use of the Following Strong Compound Technologies:

The students in the department of mechanical and electrical engineering, and in the mechanical and control engineering advanced course can make full use of "technologies to design and develop machines controlled by computers," or technologies of mechatronic engineering.

The students in the department of computer science and electronic engineering, and in the computer science and electronic engineering advanced course can make full use of "technologies to design and develop various computer-based systems," or technologies of computer science and electronic engineering.

The students in the department of civil engineering and architecture, and in the environmental and civil engineering advanced course can make full use of "technologies to design and develop infrastructure and architectural space," or technologies for putting the social environment in good order.
